Hey, it’s βSashβ:
βLast weekβ, I mentioned how good it felt to slip back into my routine. Well, this weekβs been intense β in the best way. Letβs get into it:
β What Iβm βCreating
β¨ Redefining Success in Art β βVideo Essay
I just uploaded a βvideo essayβ based on my βRedefining Success in Artβ piece, and it was a fantastic (and slightly nerve-racking) project.
Watch it here β βhttps://youtu.be/jhiQZtURAwoβ
β¨ βAcoustic Videoβ of Fucking Perfect
I teamed up with Marta for a more βstripped-down versionβ. People seem to love it, and honestly, she has a way of making everything better.

β¨ Painting βPhotosβ
I uploaded βphotos of all my paintingsβ to the website.

β What Iβm Learning β The Edge of Comfort
Iβve said it beforeβ: Iβm at my best at the intersection between intuition and thinking.
This βvideo essayβ project hit that sweet spot.
I got to use lots of my technical skills β writing, narration, composing music, filming, and editing β and then trust my intuition to stitch it all together with just the right pacing and aesthetics.
It was both scary and exciting, which usually means something good is happening. Growing pains, maybe? Have you felt that scary/exciting combo lately? If so, βIβd love to hear about itβ.
β What Iβm Loving β The Addict & The Artist
Iβve been revisiting βTurning Proβ by Steven Pressfield. If you need a nudge to take your creative pursuits more seriously (and maybe scare yourself a bit), this is it.
One part that really stuck with me is the parallel he draws between addicts and artists β how βself-sabotageβ can creep in when weβre on the verge of something meaningful.
It instantly reminded me of my song βif i’m honestβ. Looking back, that song feels like itβs in total harmony with what Steven explores in Turning Pro.
Thanks for being here, and for letting me share these little steps in my ongoing adventure.
Wishing you a week filled with your own flavour of scary-exciting growth.
